R. Beverley Corbin (“Bev”) CPCU, ARM
The Managing Member of Fast-Track Power is R. Beverley Corbin (“Bev”) CPCU, ARM. Mr. Corbin created Fast-Track Power to unite his expertise and broad international industry contacts to assist the global Power Generation industry in its ongoing efforts to reduce the high cost of business interruption losses associated with transformer and related equipment failures and losses.
Mr. Corbin first encountered the business interruption issues faced by the power generation industry in 2009 and quickly became a sought after “fast-track” problem solving resource for the global power insurance/reinsurance industry. Through this work he has developed unique insight on the power generation insurance industry that spans nuclear, fossil, and the emerging area of “renewable energy.”
Accordingly, he has been an invited speaker at many client and internal conferences for the power generation industry in the U.S. and in Europe. Mr. Corbin’s white-papers on loss control and loss mitigation have been distributed worldwide with acclaim. Several of his white-papers can be found on this website in addition to a 2012 PowerPoint presentation that an international insurance company asked him to deliver in New York City, San Francisco, and Houston as part of their client focused power generation loss control conferences.
Given that the efficient and safe production of nuclear, fossil, and renewable power will be an ongoing critical issue that is shared by both developed and developing countries alike, Mr. Corbin respects and supports the work of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) and other similar forward thinking organizations.
On broader basis, Mr. Corbin’s experience spans reinsurance brokerage, consulting, reinsurance/ insurance underwriting, and related services as a direct report to senior level management at many international/ premier firms (Wells Fargo, Renaissance Re, Towers Perrin, Guy Carpenter).
Throughout his career, Mr. Corbin has been a trusted advisor and implementer for businesses and individuals at both the senior level and at the management level who have sought revenue growth and enhanced operational efficiency. He has held senior level positions with direct responsibilities for revenue production on both a specific product/ service and on a broader cross-sell basis.
At Wells Fargo, Mr. Corbin was recognized as the top cross-sell producer in the firm within 18 months after joining the firm as a result of his understanding of the global insurance industry, his knowledge of banking, his industry contacts at all levels, and his ability to position products and services so that they could be easily understood by all levels within the necessary operations of his clients.
At Towers Perrin he was one of the youngest members of the firm ever to be promoted to Principal based on his high level revenue production and client management skills. During his final year at Towers Perrin, he was the firm’s top reinsurance revenue producer.
While Mr. Corbin has had the good fortune to have been a part of many premier firms in the industry, he is most appreciative of having the opportunity to learn from those he worked with and those who he has been fortunate to meet over the course of his career.
